Nice pic, a real gritty HDR of an amazing subject. The marram (?sp) is such a great foreground aspect isn't it?

I'm being pedantic here, but if its a shot of a sunset, shouldn't the sun be setting to the west (left) of the castle? ;)

Ah, thats interesting to know, one would have thought that that direction is North! I have been up to Bamburgh a few times to catch the sun on its way down, and i feel this subjects the beach side (i.e. the interesting side) to some overwhelming shadowing, especially in a strong sun. I managed to get up there from Carlisle at 6am this Saturday, i was the only person on the whole beach!

It's a wonderful foreground, so many places to choose to shoot from. You could be surrounded by 50 photographers and all come away with different shots.

It's funny you mention that as that is exactly where i thought the sun was going to be going down. It just seemed to carry on moving and had totally cleared the castle on the right long before it was lost on the horizon. If i knew the area better i would be able to explain exactly where i shot it from.

When i eventually moved onto the beach the sun had set just right of the lighthouse down the beach from the castle. .

Wow.. That is a beautiful scene.. I really love the grass! Haha^^ That might just sound wierd, but I do. The grass looks so...smooth. Well done on the editing, as well.
